The new edition has overhauled the graphics engine which if you follow the improvements there are some strides this graphics enhancement has given to this new version; however, even this has not been enough for justification to support this new version from previous. For me as a new beginner in the farming simulation game I am troubled by the lack of tutorials for farming makes this game not so beginner friendly. Learning how to raise cows for example the right feed has to be used. This involves raising the right crop and using the right attachments for preparing the soil, plowing and sowing seed to the field. Would be improved with tutorial aids. Online youtube videos are a good resource for some tutorials and was a great point noted to this beginning farmer. For the player that have done previous versions this lack of tutorials will be very little problem for those.
Farming Simulator appeals to a certain niche of player. Some find the boring repetition of the game where taking care of fields have nothing exciting to offer but endless work of row after row in the fields. Granted there are some helpers that can be assigned to those tasks. There are down sides to these workers helpers because of their lack of handling a square field or doing quality work on their tasks.
Giant Software uses their own mods instead of using Steam Workshop mods that provides better organization for installation purposes.
There are no seasons to the game. Just different mods that allow for changes within the program so this can be another future modification that maybe interesting if this should be a consideration. As far as realism in the game just having rain seasons would seem to make sense for me.

Summary of Farming Simulator 19 Platinum Edition:
Still robust Farming game that appeals to the fan base and won’t disappoint however with only has enough improvements that make it worth its while. The over emphasis of CLAAS brand is emphasis in this edition. Sill doing little to attack new players. It is demanding game with some questionable void of character.
Still has a strong following of players that are the Farming Simulator players and improvements are not outstanding impressive in this edition.
There is still the farming community and having multiplayer online capabilities this adds to the fun with friends.
The repetition of the game play doing farming tasks with little payoff will seem monotonous tedious duties.
Appeal to those outside the farming simulation world seem to be lacking the necessary benefits for those gamer who are desiring the action or entertainment value for others.
This may not have entertainment value for those who are gamers looking for entertainment value but for this person who likes the repetition of the game play which makes this the real farming experience game suited for those who are dedicated to working on the farm who desire simulations that are “real” to their vocational counterparts.
